How did it become a thing to support Nazis? As a matter of principle, I don’t care who they’re fighting, I’m not rooting for Nazis. Outside of football season, I’m a pacifist, the virtual Maytag repairman of philosophies. Yet these days, neocons & shitlibs alike (each an anathema to me) in their push for war with Russia have come to sound like Holocaust deniers. There was a time when Eisenhower might have marched MSNBC's pro-censorship McCarthyite & so-called expert Michael McFaul through a concentration camp for offering, as half-assed apology for his whitewashing of history, a statement that he was unaware of "certain" German atrocities during WW2. As for Anders Åslund . . .
We’re supposed to hate Nazis, right? That’s what I was brought up to believe. That’s what all the books, movies, sitcoms, magazines, video games, comic books, & pundits say. It’s branded into our culture. I mean, Jughead Trudeau, dickless dictator he may be, illegitimately froze bank accounts, seizing property & assets of any Canadian citizens associated with the truckers’ protest because somebody somewhere saw a swastika, supposedly. State stenographers of MSM woefully depicted the January 6 protests as nothing short of a Nazi insurrection. Antivaxxers are straight-up Nazis—by definition, according to Merriam-Webster now. Why did Big Tech shut down Parler? Yep, Nazis.
But the Nazis in Ukraine aren’t like that—they really aren’t. They are actual, real life, heil-Hitler- jawohl-mein-führer variety Nazis. They’re not posting off-color remarks online (ok, they do that, too), applying for parade permits in Terre Haute, Indiana, or holding klan-destine meetings in somebody’s remodeled turnip cellar to dismiss critical race theory, & they’re definitely not standing up & speaking out for Palestinian rights, or defending Jeremy Corbyn with his Hitler-diet for doing so. Instead, they’re aggressively & violently working to gain control of Ukraine. (Thought experiment: contemplate a nation controlled by Nazis. Are there any historical precedents? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, antisemites lifted to positions of power—yes, that does sound American!) Since the US-instigated Maidan uprising, Nazis have murdered 14,000 people in the Donbas alone. These Nazi “heroes” brag about killing. They enjoy setting people on fire for the grave crime of speaking Russian, for being different, for being, who knows, alive, & smart money says they don’t much care for virtue-signaling shitlibs either, though all contributions are greatly appreciated.
If you tell me not every Ukrainian is a Nazi, if you say the guns & money are for humanitarian relief—that rotting carcass of a canard—I would remind you that when the US sends 15 billion dollars in aid, including arms, to Ukraine, a portion of it goes to the Azov Battalion & other Nazi units, so no, so sorry, I got nothing—nada, zip, zero, zilch—for Nazis. If you want to help innocent victims of war in Ukraine—why not Somalia, Syria, Palestine, & Yemen, too?—stop picking up the tab for killing. (It’s not “whataboutism,” it’s hypocrisy tinged with racism.) When it comes to Venezuela, where draconian US sanctions have caused over 40,000 deaths since 2016—innocent people whose only crime is living in a country whose government the US doesn’t like—we claim it has to be done because Maduro is a quote-unquote dictator, that rare legitimately elected sort, just like Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine was before the US jimmy-rigged a coup led by Nazis. Now the Ukrainian citizenry can serve as fodder for our proxy war. Sadly, it seems we care about others’ suffering only as an expedient excuse for regime change war.
Blue check elitist yellow yapping running-dog lackeys of the imperialist bourgeoisie love to say it’s worth a couple extra bucks at the pump to fight tyranny, but we’re not fighting tyranny—we’re fueling it. During the first Trump impeachment, when Adamn Shitt (Dumbass-California), channeling his inner Dubya, said of selling missiles to Ukraine, “We’re fighting them over there, so we don’t have to fight them over here,” he was admitting that we were already at war with Russia. Which begs the question—why were we “fighting them over there” in the first place?
We could help bring an end to war in Ukraine, not by supplying additional weaponry, not with more death & destruction, but through honest, good faith negotiations. Is the US even capable of such a thing, what with profiteering warmongers in virtually every office? Given NATO’s continual encroachment on Russia since the 1990s, what happened could have been & was foreseen by many people—such as Biden himself, way back when he used words to make sentences. I fear the US wants another endless war to take the place of Afghanistan, a conjecture based upon various reports of personal stock investments congresspeople recently made. To think that we may be on the brink of nuclear war because DC is partnered with Nazis in some fucked up live action comic book war profiteering plot & somehow we have the audacity to cast ourselves as the good guys—Jesus Effington Christ, has the whole world gone crazy?
